Pin-Up Style

Hoy me gustaria hablaros de el estilo pin-up y de las pin-up girls porqué no hay mucha gente que conozca este estilo y a mi y a Caitlin ¡nos encanta! No soy muy buena haciendo definiciones, jeje, así que aquí os deja como lo define wikipedia:


''Una Pin-up es una fotografía u otro tipo de ilustración de una chica en actitud sugerente o incluso, nada más que con una sonrisa, saludando o mirando a la cámara fotográfica, que suele figurar en las portadas de revistas, comic-books o calendarios, etc. A las modelos que posan para estas obras se las denomina pin-up girls. En la actualidad (principios del siglo XXI), son generalmente modelos fotográficos, actrices de cine, cantantes o modelos.''

Today I would like to speak of pin-up style and pin-up girls because not many people know  what is this style about, me and Caitlin love this style! I'm not very good at making definitions, hehe, so here you have the definition of pin-up girl of wikipedia:

''A pin-up girl, also known as a pin-up model, is a model whose mass-produced pictures see wide appeal as popular culture. Pin-ups are intended for informal display, e.g. meant to be "pinned-up" on a wall. Pin-up girls may be glamour models, fashion models, or actresses.

Yo y Catlin nos vamos a disfrazar de pin-up girls en carnaval pero como que este disfraz no es muy común no sabemos si lo vamos a encontrar pero tenemos esperanza y ¡lo buscaremos hasta encontrarlo!


Me and Catlin on carnival we are going to dress as pin-up girls but because this is not a very common costume so we don't know if we're going to find one but we have hope and we will going to do anything to find it!


¡Ah! Se me olvidaba, ayer descubrí Polyvore (www.polyvore.com), es una pagina donde puedes comprar ropa online (en esta página puedes econtrar prendas que los famosos lleban en galas y cosas así), también puedes hacer montajes con ropa, joyas, cuadros... y puedes hacer unos diseños muy bonitos y parecen sacados de una revista, os recomiendo que le echáis un vistazo. Desde Polyvore he hecho un montaje del estilo pin-up, aquí tenéis el diseño:

Ah! I almost forgot, yesterday I discovered Polyvore(www.polyvore.com), is a page where you can buy clothes online(on this page you can find clothes that celebrities were in awards and things like that), you can also do mounts with clothing, jewelry,pictures ... and you can make some very nice designs and they are like the ones of the magazines, I recommend that you take a look. Today I did a mount in Polyvore of the style pin-up, here's the design:
